Visit the National Trust
Woolacombe, Mortehoe and Ilfracombe are surrounded by National Trust land with plenty of coastal scenic routes .
Woolacombe to Baggy Point Cycle Trail - takes you up marine drive to Putsborough, then onto Croyde. Approx. *8 miles, round trip. Easy to moderate cycling.
Woolacombe Beach Rangers - every year the beach rangers spend time on the beach, educating people about the beach, their work and providing ranger led walks leading and Rockpool Rambles!

The Tarka Trail
The Tarka Trail is part of the National Cycle Network - Route 27, running from Ilfracombe to Plymouth. This first part of the trail starts in Ilfracome and goes through to Braunton. Most of the route is on cycle track which run on the old railway line from Ilfracombe to Barnstaple. The stretch from Barnstaple to Bideford, has a cafe stop at Instow, which is the Old Station building.
